Stop Motion Repackager's Toolkit

Показать описание
Recently, we posted a timelapse of one of our staff repackaging artifacts. Let’s take a closer look at what’s in a repackager’s toolkit.
Archival plastic box: our boxes are made out of a blend of plastics to ensure safe and secure storage.
Ethafoam: this helps keep the objects safe and secure if the box is moved.
Archival plastic bags: these are used to store individual or collections of artifacts and their labels (in a separate bag)
Label and label sleeve: our repository is extremely well organized and each box is labeled according to site location or project name for easy access.
Scissors: our collections staff often need to cut old labels or tags and place them in the new box.
Desiccant: this is a substance that absorbs humidity and water droplets in the box to ensure the objects stay dry.
Filmed and edited by Katie Gaskin.
