I was a dental assistant but quit to focus on school to become a general dentist. I have over 3000 hours of working at an office, but Im worried that I won't do good in class. I had a 2.5 in high school, and so far in college I have a 3.9. I hope I am able to push myself to achieve my goal. I can't go to out of state school because Im a single mom and my living situation is complicated. Im also striving to do my bach in 3 years because I took 3 years off from graduating high school. Just trying to catch up on lost time.

When you worked at the oral surgeons office, did you have to have any qualifications, like be a licensed dental assistant, or how did you get that job? Im trying to find ways to get a job/shadow at dental practices and I’m wondering how you got involved with those?

Hey Haley. I have gotten like 2 bad grades like a D and F, both of those are not pre requirement classes they are more like core classes like history. Do you think that would affect my application a lot?
