The Flames of Progress | Timberborn Beta - Part 5 (Lumberpunk Beaver Settlement Builder)

Timberborn continues and also concludes as we achieve our goals of building all of the monuments in the game! One is a little more impressive than the other but they both stand proudly in our beaver settlement, towering above all the other buildings.

We have a bit of a play with attempting to build a big tall housing structure but sort of end up building a beaver pyramid instead, which actually looks pretty good! The extra housing is helpful and we top the building with a Flame of Progress, just because we can!

In order to build all the monuments we require quite a lot of planks, so we build a lot more carpenters and remove the amount of gear workshops we have. We also make sure that we've got enough power going into our buildings by adding more water wheels.

But with everything done in the game, we bring our little series to a close but I imagine Timberborn will return to the channel at some point in the future as it is developed further.

NOTE: This is the closed beta version of the game.

Humans have long gone extinct, and you now lead a society of lumberpunk beavers. Will your civilization do any better? Play as one of three races with distinct features that greatly influence your experience and see how long your civilization can last for.

Technology and science are the foundation of every civilization. Use ingenious timber-tech for the good of your society. Every building and structure is made entirely out of wood, which is the main resource in Timberborn.

Construct the beaver settlement of your dreams using the modular, multi-tier architecture system.

Build a prosperous city with efficient production chains and beaverish nighttime activities. Follow the lives of individually simulated inhabitants throughout their day.

Satisfy the needs of your population to unlock bonuses and new races.

Play one of the included maps or create your own and share it with the community! Los Beaveros anyone?

Unique beaver societies

Common Beavers lead a healthy, balanced lifestyle and are great for your first playthrough. Eager Beavers require very little sleep but consume more food. They are good for a more challenging experience. Last but not least are the Fancy Beavers who basically like pretty things. Refuse to decorate your settlement and they’ll die of depression. Oh, yeah… they also breed like rabbits.

And we regularly add new features! Stay in the loop by adding Timberborn to your wishlist.

PS. Did we mention our game has beavers?

The tribute to ingenuity is a totem pole with a beaver on the bottom, then a water pump, then a power connecter, then what I'm guessing is an inventer beaver on top; with the gears sticking out of his head representing the cogs of his mind working. Love your videos by the way.

“Even though people are starving let’s build a slightly self aggrandizing monument!”

Penge is the Ceausescu of beaverdom apparently

The Tribute to Ingenuity has no access to power (51:59); maybe that's why it doesn't seem to have any moving parts. I have truly enjoyed your Timberborn series, thank you!

Now 10 months later, would you consider doing a small timberborn play again? The game is not out, but the demo is out and it has a new feature with seasons, wich changes a lot of things, and you can now also control the baby boom and a 5 lvls of prioritizing og buildings. The demo have fewer features than you have here, but it does feature what I had just mentioned, and the seasons, now means you can build functional dams. The demo last for 2 wet and 2 dry seasons, so it will be a shorter series, but still something to watch while we wait for a full release.

It looks like a beaver Princess Leia statue. I really enjoyed this series, I hope you play again when there's an update!

the path you made for wheel access could have lead to a building, vice the last row of connectors. I look forward to you expanding the power system on the axle lane

I wonder how they manage to bake bread and grill potatoes. After all, their buildings are made entirely out of wood, aren't they?

'219 hp, whatever the hp means'
It means Horsepower. Dont ask why, I have no idea why they called it that.

They need to balance the food and number if beavers being born, too many get born and eating too much food.

How capitalist of you. I approve of your skill at building pyramid societies, Mr. Cupboard.

You need more Hauling Posts. Those are the buildings that use up all your spare unemployed beavers, as well as filling water storage from water provision buildings and balancing storage between warehouses. P.S.: You didn't power your Tribute to Ingenuity.

The beavers are terrible planners, they obviously were apprenticed to the Academia builders.
