Two month review using the dustopper on a festool vacuum

I’ve been using the set up now for two months and I have to say I like it the large capacity of the dustopper 5 gallon bucket has been great. The biggest con is I need to get a Bluetooth/wireless switch for the vacuum. My festool vac is an older model so I can’t use their solution. Please let me know in the comments if there is one you like. Hope this helps someone. 👍🏼🤠👍🏼

We have a Grizzly 30 gallon cyclone between plywood saw and it's 1.5hp Rykon dust collector....
And dust deputy between router table and shopvac .
We also have the Festool tub thingy on top of a midi, we used to use a domino often.
These are my possibly wrong observations in order the most value.
#1 a cheaper vacuum/dust collector can be quickly choked down by clogging your filter/breather bag.
Every month we spent 1 hr beating and blowing the Rykon dust collector vent bag, since we added the small cyclone we can go 6 months.
Ridgid shop vac doesn't take as much time, but mdf dust packs it in.
#2 a ridgid drum or bucket is much easier to dump, and less apt to get yourself dusty while moving it to the dumpster .
The Festool midi/mid tower saves on bags, but since we don't use the domino often the bulk savings are lost a little without a true handle it's awkward moving the vacuum around the shop.
Foot switches are awesome, but cords can get annoying around your feet ...especially when your hands are close to a router bit.
Excellent real world review Sal!
