Aight Mighty I have some new tips for you that can save the athletics. I just figured this out and it fixed my 28th rank tigers and we won the world series. What you do is after the season is totally over and its on the 'sim off season' screen, you put the trade sliders to max, save, then reroll the off season . Repeat until the team rank is top 10 (you check the rank in the standings real quick). Took me about 30 rolls Id say and the Tigers got to 8th, that was all I wanted to be viable for playoffs. You can also do both, sim a few years, then reroll until good. Depends if you want to make saving the A's a storyline. Also (this is sweaty) but what I do is in the spring games I put it on beginner, classic, max pitching sliders, and throw all fastballs at the corners to raise velo.
