My TOP 10 Sneakers of 2024 + Sneaker of the Year?!

Here are MY top 10 sneaker releases of 2024. Personally, I tailor this list to pairs I feel had a great impact on the sneaker industry as a whole, so these are not necessarily my favorite pairs to wear or that I purchased this year. This was a collaboration heavy year and that hasn't been the case in recent years, not my favorite reality but there were a lot of stories told that caught everyone's attention.

This is a dope list! When companies tell a compelling story, along with putting out a quality product 👌🏿, and this list is an example of them doing it successfully.

For me, I feel like there was a lot of GRs that I like more than most collabs especially with New Balance and Salomon. The AE1 Low "Mural" is definitely on my list as well. Not a lot of shoes made me go "woah" like that colorway did when I saw them in person. Maybe I've been living under a rock but I haven't heard of the John Geiger brand until you introduced the brand, but I admit they do look really nice! Love the breakdown as to why each shoe is on your list!

In no particular order, 10 of my favorite releases this year are:
- Adidas AE1 Low “Mural” and “Nick’s Gift” - Loved the roll-out for the "Nick's Gift" pair as well. I believe they actually had AE's friend "Nick" (who's featured with AE in the commercials) show up before a Wolves's game in Minneapolis to hand out free pairs of the blue "Nick's Gift" AE1 Lows for fans.
- Adidas Clot Superstar Dress - Loved the execution and I've been waiting for them ALL year. Just wish it wasn't ~$500 at retail.. LOL. Still love them but decided to pass.
- Adidas Clot Gazelle (1st version with the white beads) - The Ls (plural) that hurt me the most this year LOL. Love the execution.
- Asics Gel Kayano 14 "Senna 'McLaren'" - Beautiful shoe and an excellent homage to the late F1 driver: Ayrton Senna. Super disappointed that this specific colorway didn't get a US release tho.
- Adidas Campus 00s "Japanese Rock Garden" in Burgundy - Saw some in-hand photos and thought they were beautiful from the deep burgundy color to the concentric designs on the sides.
- Adidas Samba Wales Bonner Navy Croc - I'm not a Samba guy but these look amazing.
- Salomon XT-6 Chromatic - Love the gradient. Sorta reminds me of the Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis. Might just reach back for these..
- Salomon XT-4 Needlepoint - I prefer the predominantly black pair but the white pair is really pretty too. Really nice floral design on the upper.
- New Balance 1000 Pink (GR pair) - Love the whole pack of this particular GR drop but especially the pink pair.
- New Balance 991v2 City Pack but the Tokyo pair in Pink - Also came in a pack but the pink one is definitely THE stand out pair.

Now that I think about it, I don't actually own any of the shoes in my list LOL. Mostly focused on decent clothing pieces and reaching back for sneaker releases in years prior that were on sale. I was able to get one of my most anticipated shoes ever since its rumors in a singular Snkrdunk article early in January this year: Adidas Superstar 82 Made in Germany x JJJJound. SUPER boring shoe but I have actually been wearing them quite a bit and bringing that cost per wear down - Organically too. Not because I feel like I have to. I was going to get it regardless of the collaboration because of the upgraded materials (from the leather to the super soft fabric lining) and that it's "Made in Germany" (in air quotes). Maybe I should've put them on my list LOL. My bad, I wrote like an essay LOL. Happy Holidays!

I think these are the only 10 I actually picked up this year. Adidas killed it this year and I never thought I'd by putting a Saucony sneakers at #1 but it happened. I picked up 4 of these on sale too. Patience is a virtue 🙂‍↕️

Happy that the AE 1 is SOTY for a lot of people. I own 3 pair. Hopefully, his follow-up model, doesn't disappoint. The mock ups didn't look good to me

Not mad at this list at all…I love the AE1 but I do prefer the mid…and as a true day 1 Wu-Tang fan I’m glad I finally got a pair of the dunks Wu-Tang is for the children 👐🏾
