The Smokey and the Bandit Trams Am was a 1976 with the front cap of a 77, not a 1978.

I order a 1975 wated month factory changed over I could not get so they brought in a demo same as I ordered I wanted 1000 dollars off cause it had miles they would not deal, so I bought the 73 doge challenger in the lot.glade I did still have it.

The Trans Am with the 6.6L Oldsmobile engine was the best reliable engine, 455 Ho.Super Duty was the best performer and the 4.9 (301) was the best dog engine . GM put a Pontiac, olds .chevy, Buick engines in the Trans Am, s over the lifespan of production .

Wrong limited number 1979 trans am 400 4 speeds were built till they ran out of the 400 blocks
