HATJIDAKEIA SUITE by Spiro Cardamis

Back in the 90's there was a famous Greek Boite nightclub restaurant Manhattan called "THIASSOS"known for its eclectic quality acoustic music with emphasis on old but goodie classic greek repertory ! I was hired as a pianist and musical director I could exercisetherre!!! One day the owner asked me to prepare a music tribute to one of the music legends Manos Hatjidakis!!! So ... Thought ... before presenting his songs with individual vocalists, duets and group singing to start the show with an orchestral Suite - a medley of some of his great songs- so that I could exercise my skills on connecting songs together in a meaningful organic way plus so that the audience could get a taste and aroma of Manos' beautiful music!!! At my home studio, after having selected the pieces that i loved and thought suitable,I prepared a demo for the band to study before rehearsing using portable sequencers, drum machine and sounds from my favorite synths back then namely kong M1 and Kong O1WFD!!!
