4.1 Fontaine Archon Quests RECAP and Theories | Genshin Impact

Definitely enjoyed the Archon Quests in 4.1 (Act III and IV) and I'm looking forward to see what happened to Childe! Will Arlecchino be playable!? And THAT LORE DROP WITH NEUVILLETTE!!! Furina is starting to become one of my favorite archons~

If traveller's skill and burst are weker copy of Dragon sovereign than that means traveller is taking power from a dragon not a god. I hope Pyro dragon is alive so that we can test this theory

neuvillette's voicelines about archons heavily implies that celestia stole the dragons' powers and gave them to the archons, thus neuvillette calling the archons as unauthorized gods... his level 90 ascension dialogue also shows that his ultimate goal is to judge the celestia gods

i think she is the hydro archon, she separate herself from her counterpart and her memory little bit blurry in certain topic but she still remember that she is the archon. her counterpart with her gnosis is trying to halt primordial water as long as possible.

My theory is that after Furina ascended, she was cursed by Celestia by saving/caring for the reincarnation of the hydro dragon sovereign (Neuvillette) during the cataclysm 500 years ago. Furina hid part of herself and the gnosis inside the oratrice, this also explains why Neuvillette cares deeply for her.

When Neuvillette's dragon status was confirmed, bro I was screaming. It was such a relief they didn't drag out the "Is he a dragon" question to 4.2.

I want to point something that some may miss in this quest. Many believe that Neuvillette simply tolerates Furina, but this quest showed that we actually care about her and respect her decisions.

As such Neuvillette did not put pressure on Furina to find out the reason for her unease, despite the fact that, given his abilities, he knew for sure about the assassination attempt.

At the same time, Furina herself did not tell anyone about this incident, despite such strong patrons and knowledge of who tried to kill her.

People wondering how wrio didn't got dissolved in the cut scene, as at least a drop would fall on him, the reason behind is fairly simple, the primordial water is heavily diluted by the sea water, even wrio mentions this few minutes before we get the cut scene, that the concentration of primordial water in sea water is increased, though minutely. Idk how MINUTE the concentration is, but it's enough to not dissolve him as we already know primordial water at very very low concentration, can be used as a drug, as we've gone through a drink called SINTHE is just that.

Honestly, I believe the idea of Furina being am archon split in two parts.
It also explains the bizarreness that is Ousia and Pneuma in Fontaine. It just kinda felt slightly out of place.

My theory for child’s case and why he was found guilty is that because he’s connected to that whale we ended up seeing at the end of act 4 and the whale appeared to be in the primordial sea, the oratrice deduced that since he has that sort of connection to the primordial sea water, which dissolved those girls in the serial disappearances case, he was found guilty by affiliation

We always come back to Albedo's stories/lore and Hexenzirkel, damn. I have been curious about the Heart of Naberious since Albedo came out, so I hope we end up learning more about Rhine and the other witches in the near future. The more we learn about them the more powerful they seem, tbh, they probably know more than the Fatui and possibly even the archons, it's crazy.

I like the idea of the Hydro archon being split between Furina, the body, and Focalors, as the mind who resides (or is?) the oratrice. That theory does explain Furina's confidence in declaring herself as the Hydro archon--in her experience, she is the Hydro archon. But it would also explain why Furina seems so powerless and in the dark; she does quite liteally lack her true mind. And it would further illuminate Arlecchino's doubt.

I hope the next Archon quest leads to some kind of reunion of Furina and Focalors again, restoring the true Hydro archon though retaining both distinct personalities (Furina is adorable).

The new world quest has given me some ideas about what the other Harbingers like Childe mean when they say 'wolf in sheeps clothing' when referring to Arlechino.

Also, in the first act where Lyney was being interrogated, Furina threatened Vaughnn that he was going to go to "Coupon Town" which we now know that she was directly referring to the Fortress of Meropide. For some reason, I thought it was something else.

Also, the two gossips are my favorite NPCs in the whole game! Can we still find them are the quest?

It's also interesting how we still don't know neuvillette's first name (it's mentioned in his voice lines) and no one in Fontaine seems to know either which leads me to believe the name is definitely dragon lore related
