Omar - This is a sad day for me. I grew up on movies like Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura and I have loved seeing Jim Carrey in Sonic and can’t wait to see Sonic 2. But did you see that Carrey is retiring from acting. A whole new generation of people love him in Sonic so why would he want to stop now? Thanks.

Jim Carrey, I hope you read this... You are from a humble beginning, a not so easy road to traverse. Your work inspires people in more ways than you can imagine. You are so unique that a multiverse world would need to exist to find another like you. Your work, to us, has not been about achievements...that comes with going to work. It is not about who has the biggest and best marbles, you have the world to play in. Acting does not cure any disease or fight world poverty or hunger, but you and your style has always been the best medicine. Have you ever seen anyone impersonate you? They will, eventually, But not today. You have been blessed for a reason and I know that torch is hard to 'Carrey' but I am a ship looking for your light...never say never Mr. Carrey. I need you.

Truman Show was that movie when I young that just captivated me. I truly enjoyed that. But recently some things he has said about life I truly loved.

For 90’s kids, Jim Carrey was the man and arguably the biggest star in the world for a while. In a short span of time he had Ace Ventura, The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura 2, Batman Forever, Liar Liar, and The Truman Show. The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, and Bruce Almighty are arguably my favorites, but it’s criminal he didn’t get an Oscar nom for The Truman Show or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I truly believe he's done enough... Enough comedy!!! Dramatically speaking he's quite good and I wouldn't like that the part of the reason he is retiring is because he hasn't been able to get more dramatic roles, I hope casting directors don't see him as just a great comedian actor because that would be very unfair. I believe he could do more dramatic stuff. Like in The Majestic... That was so good, he WAS SO GOOD.
