Your work is breathtaking, makes one pause and think how things once were. Our history must never be forgotten or rewritten! Thank you for all your hard and spectacular work.

I can truly appreciate how much time and effort you put into every one of these pictures. Especially the trolley car passing past and present.

These before-and-after clips give me goose bumps, as if the world has changed and yet still the same. But thanks for taking the time to create these clips.

I find these touching in different ways.... sad, haunting and yet beautiful and peaceful in a strange way knowing that neither beauty or peace were responsible for the before images...

I know that it's not always possible, but when you are able to, would you please give some indication as to the location of the photos? Your work is brilliant, thank you.

My parents were children during WWII. They emigrated to the USA in 1950 and 51. My dad was 16 and was digging trenches at the end of the war. No one told my dad and the other teenagers that the war was over and when they found out they just walked home. My mom was 12 and traveling alone to get to a relatives house. An American soldier told everyone with papers to come through. She has a newspaper and held it up ensuring her a pass to go. Thank you to that American soldier.Borh my parents came to American for the dream that they achieved. My dad had less than $5 in his pockets when he got to St Louis. He was a self employed baker as well as my mom and they both worked together for many years. They raised 6 children. The stories about the war were sad but they came here so they had the freedom that the Nazis took from them. They thrived in America. We miss them every day.

Throughout your series, it's a wonder to me how so many of these buildings in Europe -- buildings that had been bombed and burned to nearly unrecognizable shells -- were rebuilt. Historical landmarks, churches, shops and restaurants, and the humblest of homes were worthy of being made whole again. With such large areas nearly destroyed, and with so many young men never coming home again, how did people come together to rebuild?
