How to Erase Fitbit Charge 5 (Factory Reset / Clear User Data)

Follow along as I show you how to factory reset Fitbit Charge 5.
⚠️ WARNING: This will erase or clear all user data from the device, and require the tracker to be re-paired. ONLY do this if you want to (1) return your Fitbit Charge 5, (2) give your Fitbit Charge 5 to someone else, or (3) as a last resort for troubleshooting and issue with your Fitbit Charge 5.

Before trying this I wasn't able to connect the Charge 5 to my laptop fitbit software. Windows 11 laptop using windows 10 software is probably the issue. Bluetooth doesn't see it, but it sees my charge 3. Trying to download it on my brother's iphone now to see if it works that way.

Nice tip but It did not work. Data never resets the data. Charge 5 is stuck in a restart loop. Battery gone from 100% to empty in 30mins. Is the second Fitbit product I have and just when the 1 year warranty ended (5 months after that) starts to have all sort of problem. Customer support just gives a discount on the next fitbit product. Seems like a scam to make you change devices. I will never get any of their products again and just delete the account.

Hi. I just purchased the Charge 5 and after setting it up, I keep getting a message saying Error connecting to device, try again. Checked everything: reinstalled app, reset device and nothing works. Should I return the device?

Does not work when fitbit is frozen on a screen as you can't swipe on the screen.
