Draymond Green is the NBA's ultimate defensive mastermind. Here's why.

Nobody thought Draymond Green was going to be an amazing defender coming out of Michigan State. He certainly didn't have the physical attributes you associate with the all-time stoppers. But Draymond's greatest asset isn't measured at the combine. It's his deep, almost preternatural understanding of what the other team's going to do which allows him to put himself and his four teammates in the perfect place to shut the offense down.

Draymond is kinda like that one guy where you hate him if you played against him but you would love to be his teammate. It's amazing how he has a balanced stat line offensively and defensively as a 6'7 PF

One thing I notice about Draymond is he is just so damn technically sound when he plays defense. He contests so many shots but he always has his hands straight up, he doesn't commit stupid or lazy fouls. Guarding the guys he does, other guys would foul out every game. I am just always impressed how he contests so many shots in the paint without having to foul them.
