So this episodes a little example how i would style the outfit basic this Autumn to make the perfect on trend outfits. Outfit 101 with lots of ideas for you to mix and match with.

Loved everything! I’d like to share a story with you about a pair of beautiful knee high boots. In the winter of 1972 I was 19 years old and during Christmas holiday I worked in a lovely shoe store which was owned by a family who lived across the street from us. I’ll stop here to admit that I have loved shoes my entire life. The people I worked for allowed me to open an account and they also gave me a very nice discount. So when we were unpacking a shipment one day you can imagine my delight and sheer joy when I discovered some gorgeous teal suede leather knee high boots. I was smitten - it didn’t matter that they were far too expensive and I had no idea what to wear with them. I had to have them! They came home with me on Saturday and on Sunday I was determined to wear them to church. I missed Sunday School because I changed clothes so many times. But I was gonna wear those boots! Finally, I had a moment of genius (I thought). My favorite dressy coat was a winter white tweed, double breasted, with gold buttons and came just above my knees. I put on a slip, put my coat on, buttoned all the buttons and it was perfect. So off I went, feeling very chic! Now, of course, it would be fine to wear a coat as a dress, but then, I guess not so much...at least not in my little hometown. After the service, we were all greeting each other and visiting when our pastor’s wife (who I absolutely adored by the way) made her way to me and told me how pretty I looked, loved the boots, and with several adults gathered within earshot asked, “What are you wearing under your coat?” It seems silly now, I guess, but I was mortified. And because I loved her too much to lie - and the fact that I imagined her unbuttoning my coat to see which of my dresses I had chosen to wear - I told her I was just wearing a slip. To my relief, she thought it was a great idea. At that moment I loved her even more than before! Now I’m just wondering what happened to those beautiful boots. If only I had kept all those clothes and shoes I wore in the 70s, my granddaughters would love them now!

I just love knee high boots in winter!! All the outfits you shared looked sensational. I like how you dress like 'everywoman'. You're a mum so you dress in consideration of your children and the stage of life you are at. Everything you do is so tasteful and elegant. A brown blouse suits You very well, but in a skirt you remind me of a teacher.
Dress boho-easy and young, not so strict.
Jeans tucked into boots with a brown blouse- super!

Just last weekend I wore a dark floral summer maxi with a cable knit sweater and a pair of Vince Camuto (Fawn colored) motorcycle boots! I was so comfortable and I must have had at least three women say how much they liked my outfit and were going to try to copy the look. I also did the same thing with one of my summer floral print babydoll style dresses. It just skimmed my knees, so I wore a pair of opaque tights (I hate my knees) with knee high suede boots. I threw a cardigan that was slightly longer than my dress over the whole thing because it was pretty chilly outside. Seeing you do similar looks, gave me a boost of confidence to continue to trust my instincts. LOVE, love, love those boots! xoxo 💙

The idea of the video is really wonderful. I like the pencil skirt on the high boot. You are right about the color. Different shades of tan are more of trend now but the 70s touch is always rich and chic. Thank you🌷

Loved that Jess. As you may remember ( probably not ha ha 😉) anything 70s I love . Flares, blazers etc 👍funnily enough I do need some new knee high boots.
