12 year old me seeing this trailer for the first time in 2009 really blew my damn mind. Genuinely think this was the most hype I had ever been for a trailer to be honest, I never seem to get that exhilarating feeling anymore like I did with this one. The darker tone, the teases of all the new robots, the humans looking scared as hell not cracking jokes and ending it with Optimus going up against a Decepticon that made him look small. Seeing all that with no context was insane to me as kid. I really miss those times. Movie might have not been great but this trailer was perfect.

Seeing this in 4th grade, you could tell how dark & intense sequels can be. This one involves a plan to kill Optimus, so The Fallen can finished what his brothers stop him to do. DOTM, they felt for a trap by their enemies, with Sentinel working with them, forcing humans to exile them, just to kill them, so they can bring Cybertron to Earth. AOE, they are being betrayed by humanity, despite protecting them from the start, with a bounty hunter helping them, while killing anyone for making contact or helping them. TLK, their fearless leader is brainwashed by their enemies, to finish what they started since DOTM. & finally FH, Optimus admits everything they done to protect Earth, was all on him, after seeing Sam’s name on the list of the dead, while Unicron finally makes his move after 5 films.
