Congratulations on your HR-V. If you're not a techie or enthusiast, the LX is still well equipped and a good price, especially with the FWD. It has a snow mode on that, too, so you don't need AWD only you have a lot of snow where you live. I live in Honolulu, HI, so it might even work similar in sand.

That white pearl is a nice color. I plan to get an Urban Grey Pearl Sport FWD. There's actually a lot of videos on the HR-V, especially from the top car reviewers. I pretty much know a lot about these and the Honda Civics.

*You actually said you can adjust the windows when I think you meant mirrors.

Lots of people complain that car seats are uncomfortable, and expect them to be soft and cushy, but it should be reasonably firm for support, especially if you have back problems.

The Sport has lights on the visor vanity mirrors, so the base LX trim you have, like other cars will not have lots of things the upper trims would have, but the Civic and HR-V LX still have a lot more than base trim cars used to.

The 360 video camera is often only in top trim models of certain vehicles, so you won't find them in the Civic or HR-V, even in the top trim levels.

The engine you have is the longtime reliable 2.0L non turbo engine from the Civic LX and Sport and other models and is dependable and last a long time with proper maintenance. Like over 300-500K+ miles.

Make sure you change your oil with industry standard synthetic every 5K miles, and change your transmission oil when recommended. Like 30-50K miles. I would go with 30K miles.

Don't let your gas go below ¼ or at the least ⅛ tank. As if air gets in the fuel pump in the gas tank, it can burn out the bearings and cost a lot to replace because of the labor to remove the gas tank.

That funnel in the back is not for oil changes. If you have to fill up the gas and don't have a portable gas can with a nozzle, you can use the funnel to open the flap in the filler tube to put in gas with whatever container you have.

At the bottom on the rear bumper, those are reflectors, not lights. They are required by law for some automotive regulation.

And yes, those are called wheel lug nuts. And it's good to have extras, along with the key for the locks. They usually give you a code number that you can order a spare key in case you lose yours.

Keep your car protected with good polish, whatever you choose to use so that your paint doesn't fade. Also keep microfiber cloths or automotive shop towels, those blue paper towels rolls and get a spray bottle of Rain-X waterless car wash & rain repellent to clean bird dropping, tree sap and to touch up the shine on your car.

Take care of your tires. Get a tire gauge and check your tire pressure once a week, even if your car has the TPMS aka tire pressure monitor sensors. Also dress your tire sidewalks with armor all or other tire products so that the rubber doesn't dry out.

Other things good to have:

First aid kit, fire extinguisher, those orange LED flashing hockey puck emergency lights, at least 4. Also a portable tire pump like the Airmoto that you keep the battery charged so no longer cord to hook up to the 12volt outlet. The HR-V only has one at the rear hatch, none up in front, which is odd. The Airmoto let's you set the tire pressure psi to make it easy.

Also, you may want to get a portable jump starter. Not the old school heavy ones, but the newer lithium ion ones like those big power banks you can also recharge your phones and stuff with the jumper cables attachment.

Those are easier to use, and safer than jumper cables and having to find another car, and possibly cause damage from hooking it up wrong. Keep those things charged check them every month or so, to make sure they didn't lose charge over time.

You may want to get nice license plate frames and clear covers if allowed where you live.

And when you tint your windows, you may want to do the black window pillars on your doors with the clear plastic they use on the front of the car to prevent damage from rocks and such, as over time repeated touching in those areas leave faded marks in the paint. Look at cars that don't have chrome trim there, and you will see what I mean.

The website for college hills Honda has some cool accessories, like those wetsuit material covers for your key gobs so they don't get all scratched up. They are so cheap you can buy several, in case you need to replace them when they get worn out. Also they have these portable black nylon seat covers for the front seats you can roll up and store to use if you are wet from the beach etc., or use all the time. They go over the headrest and the seating surfaces and are easy to put on and take off. Lastly, they have these black things that you put over you seat buckle to go next to your center console to block things you drop so they don't fall between the console and the seats. All inexpensive accessories.

Also, Amazon, eBay or maybe Temu may have screen protectors for your infotainment display.

That's all I can think of right now, but I hope that helps.

You did a good job with the review, many of the auto techs go through things so fast, loved all the details you had on the interior. Enjoy your new car!

Thank you for featuring the LX trim of the HRV, which is what I purchased, and absolutely love ❤. I actually prefer the cloth seats, which are far more comfortable than the leather. Even though the LX trim is the base trim, it still provides all the necessary extra features, and still feels very luxurious; rides and handles like a dream. Great review 👍

I never get tired of watching 2023 HRV reviews! I got my EX-L same color as yours in November & I love love love it. I can't believe it's been almost 6 months w her & it still feels like a dream. I will look forward to seeing your accessories video.
I have a few things like a center console tray, a beauty mirror w lights, glasses holder clip. As for the trunk cover, does it stay in place or is it retractable ?

Amazing car you have there Congrats. I got the 2023 hr v last year back in Feb, Only managed to get it in Gray because that was the only color the Honda dealer had 😂. Otherwise for my First car I am very Happy with it and I hope you are enjoying it too.

I have a 2024 HRV sport! I love mine so much! Such a beautiful car. I love the comfortable seats! I love how spacious these cars are and they don’t seem like it would be from the outside. But damn so much head room and leg space.
Drives incredible as well! Sb coffee cups actually fit in the back cup holders is what I love about the back seats. However I did get a cup holder arm rest from Amazon since I do have two teenagers lol and it has usbs on it with storage. I love your car btw! That was my other choice! Love the interior color! Thanks for sharing!!!

Great car. I just got thr 24' Sport. My only complaint is that the engine is a bit underpowered. It needs s turbo to be competitive. Do you feel this car is a little slow?

Hi! Do you have trouble keeping the cloth seats clean? Thank you! ❤

This may seem like a dumb question but when you unlock your car with the key fob does it double click to unlock all the doors because my key fob doesn't double click. I'm not sure if my honda hrv lx has something wrong with it.
