So... do you really need a screen protector for your iPad, or maybe it's not that necessary? Here's my experience and opinion as a long term iPad user (with a screen without a scratch on it).

I got that 13” air. It’s basically a big gen 5. If you want a bigger gen 5 enjoy yourself.

Thank you for your video. It's nice to hear that not all artists want to draw on textured surface. I bought a cheap matte screen protector when I got my Ipad and remove it soon after because I didn't like it (visible grain, squeaky noises when drawing with the pen, don't like the rough feel). I've been a little anxious about protecting my screen since, but I'm more confident it'll be okay now. :)

Do you have a problem with your palms sticking more on the glass since you don't have a protector ? I'm using a drawing glove, but I would like my other fingers to not stick, like when I was using a screen protector.

Glass protectors are good but extremely reflective, so I did not put any screen protector on my second ipad

I got the 13” m4 days ago, i installed a textured screen protector with a high cost to protect my device, it felt great with Apple Pencil, but the screen quality and lots of color noise, so removed it 😢 I watched this vid late😢😢😢😑 but at least now i know going without protector won’t hurt the display. Thnx

Hi, I have similar case I don't really like paper feeling textures as an artist, I prefer glass smooth experience even more with ESR Armorite but the pencil wobble is terrible it annoys the crap out of me. Idk why apple can't make it so it will work with glass protectors. I would use it on bare screen but my problem is it gets dirty very fast and then pencil is just not gliding smoothly it kinda "jumps" sometimes. I got a flexible glass 0.16mm from 3mk but it still wobbles ;c I need help finding smooth glass protector or smooth film that will not create wobble/jitter on slow pencil strokes.

I have older ipad 5th with a thick rubber case and I dropped it a few times. Till today no scratches on screen at all. Just a small dent on the corner shell. 😂😂😂

I’m removing my screen protector though I’m using a clear screen protector but it’s annoyingly reflective specially when reading kindle in dark mode, it’s almost like a mirror. Thank you for the much needed push! :)

I just bought a case like you show. Close it. I do not put screen protectors on my phone even. My phone has it's own front pants pocket that nothing else gets carried in. The screen is kept against my leg. Not a scratch on any of them since I've been doing it this way. My otterbox did scratch my iPhone 5s. The plastic in it put a very hazy area on my lower screen.

If its a laminated screen, if u have an unlaminated screen u wont need a protector. The ipad screen is rlly expensive withoit screen protector especially if its laminated, so get a screen protector for it if u dont have apple care+ to prevent scratches too if ur clumsy

I use samsung s9 tablet. Iam not an artist but i do feel the difference how my s pen work when i use protector, even samsung have features to increase sensitivy when you use sreen protector, but i don't like the feeling of it. As a usual office worker i did so many thing with hand writing mode 😅 so yeah i remove my tempered glass😂 its way better experience, i also use a flip cover like you to protect my pad .

So you are saying that in normal use with apple pencil and no screen protector the screen will not be scratched? I do have folio case

I thought the info was ok, however take a look at the cost of replacing a screen etc on an iPhone 15 its £450 so I suspect that you would be looking at £800 for an iPad 13” so the premise of it didn’t happen to you, isn’t really good advice, perhaps insurance would be good including accidental or you having tried some different types, but your one size fits all isn’t a good approach.

Great video! I think I’ll go without one as I won’t really take it out of the house lol

i heard that a screen protector will wear down the apple pencil nib 🤦‍♂ for those that want Texture - get a Real notebook with a Real pencil and go crazy! 😏✏📓 imho, digital can never truly become (or beat) Traditional 💖 everything has its pros and cons 👨‍🎨🎨🖼

Hello this band on the back. Is it with the cover? Because I don't see it on the product on Amazon.
