I started having to get my blood drawn when I was 7 they used a retractable needle and I always thought that the needle was floating inside my body. The person who took my blood had been taking it for years and has learned that she should slide it out and then click the button. She is still my favorite.

My 10 yr son got his Covid shot, he told his friend that the needle is still in his arm, he saw the needle go in his arm but when the nurse removed the plastic the metal was no longer there so it must have broke inside him. Now he just forwarded this video to his friend to explain he was wrong

One time I administered a shot to a patient with one of these; grown man mind you. He asked me where the needle went and him it broke off in his arm, he went berserk. 😂😂 Of course I told him it retracted afterward.

My ten year old just before her second shot asked me how the needle got out of her body.

She thought it melted inside her arm. I explained it to her and she looked embarrassed.

Is ok to wonder. The injection site hurts for a few days, she just thought the pain went away when the needle melted. 🤷🏽‍♀️
