10 Former NHL'ers In The Czech Extraliga This Season

As we continue our exploration into Europe's many domestic hockey leagues and the NHL alumni in their ranks, I figured we should once again travel to the continent's eastern region and explore those players currently plying their trade in the Czech Republic.

So in today's video, join me as I take you through my list of 10 former NHLers playing in the Czech Extraliga this season!

Good vid. Just a quick reminder that Jaromír JAGR is still playing at the age of almost 49 in the Chance liga (the lesser league here in Czech) with Tomáš PLEKANEC. Just feel like it could have been mentioned :P And also, we're pretty much the centre of Europe xD

Extraliga is underrated for sure... They have some good teams and players. I have to say, they play a more "rough and tumble" kind of hockey than we here in Switzerland. Enjoyed the few games I saw in CHL. Good video though

Last time Neuvirth played professional hockey game was two years ago for Flyers in NHL. He keeps being injured (as always) since then. So far, he hasn´t played in a single game for Sparta after he came back to CZE.

I know a guy who plays with Jagr. He played like 4 games in the NHL which is pretty cool.

The European pro leagues have a lot of parity and not a big difference in talent between them and Champions league play shows that but Russia’s KHL is the top league and Sweden’s SHL a close 2nd. The Swiss, Finnish, German and CZH are all very comparable followed by Austria but all good leagues
