2003 - 2005 Honda Accord 'MAINT REQ`D' light reset

Demo and explanation. Needs resetting after every oil change. Light is merely the function of a km or mileage counter ran by the vehicle`s computer (ECU). Either 4 or 6 cylinder engines.
Light starts blinking at start-up at 7900 - 8100 miles (12,640 - 12,960 km) since last reset.
Light stays on at 9900 - 11,000 miles (15,840 - 16,160 km) since last reset.

That’s was fast n easy
Turn key over but don’t start
1. Hold down maintenance light
2. More then 10 sec.
3. Reset it turn car off
4. Walah maintenances light is off
5. Step 5 Have a good day 🙂

I did not know what maintanance was required as everything is done according tothe manual. I was going to call my mechanic and was glad to learn that this concerns the oil change - my wasdone two months ago. I tried the reset, byt the light indicator showed up again.

I knew it..when my "maintenance reqd" light goes on...I change my oil...and the light goes off..my accord is 18 years old n runs great..I had to replace an ignition coil 2 months ago..$65..no problem...
