I tried it for about 4 hours… it’s ok, good writing apps on Linux 👍🏻

Great breakdown, Sean. Quick and to the point. Any chance of a follow up or a tutorial of how to set it up?

I use both XCode and VS Code. I use XCode as the main editor, but I rely on VS Code when I want to generate a piece of code with Copilot.

It would be far more exciting if Apple opened up XCode and their development platforms to other languages. Swift isn't everyone's cup of tea. There's tons of languages such as Ada, C++ and Rust which either have no support or second class support on Apple platforms. No one is asking Apple to support any of them, just make their libraries and tooling accessible to their other languages.

I.d love to use swift on another platform but it doesn't make the most sense for me there, not without a way to develop also for the iPhone. I hope that day will come... :)
