Why People Are Disappearing from This Little Town in Alaska

You must have heard stories about the mysterious Bermuda Triangle, where ships have disappeared for a long time. But it's not the only place on our planet that's worthy of a movie plot. From 1960 to 2004, some 24 people went missing in Nome, Alaska. For a long time, no one could solve the mystery. The truth turned out stranger than most versions.

I lived in Nome from 1983 to 1988. 99% of your pictures are not from Nome it is tundra not a forest.

My favorite part is that you never actually showed a picture of Nome.

So, they leave the bar late at night with snow and get lost. Yet, no remains have ever been found.

Alaska is not really full of ice or snow it mostly rains, but in Nome it's just mostly rocks gravel and a bit of grass with a lo of mud, but the winters are long everywhere in Alaska, also we have lots of mountains and forest so it easy to get lost.

There are no trees anywhere near nome... It's rubble and hard pack permafrost that is sparsely covered in low small grasses and flowering plants. Lots of small hills and random holes of mud.... Lots of mud.
