Our son is 29! He loves everyone! He is my sidekick! He is involved with 3 disabled groups! He learns something new everyday. He is happy and has many good friends. He has an older brother. Our older son is married and has a stepson and a 21 month old son. My boys are happy and fulfilled! Life is good!

Recently a local lady with downs died in our parish - she was a little over 40, and so sweet and childlike that everybody loved her. Literally, our parish church was full to bursting with townspeople, most of whom were not even regular Christian believers let alone Catholics. But all spent that afternoon in tribute to this lady, whose infectious enthusiasm in everything she did made her a local celebrity, in a good way! When she was born, her parents made a pledge to give her as many opportunities as they could, and so she got to meet everybody, riding, acting, painting, gardening, reading in church…. Her mother said, during the sweet elegy to her daughter, that as parents, mum and dad had enjoyed the dubious pleasure of having a child whose innocence and teenage tantrums had lasted some 40 years! But joking aside, this lady’s life was a testament to love and to life, and to faith. ❤️🙏❤️God bless parents who put their trust in the one true God of love.
