Thank you EU.

EU Regulation is what forced Apple and other smartphone makers to standardize on USB-C.

EU Regulation will also be giving us back consumer swappable batteries.

Thanks again EU for doing what the US should have done long ago.

You know what else is a win-win for everybody.... Not replacing your iPhone every few years.

Never thought I'd say this but thank god for the EU. Apple's obsessive need to be different just to squeeze out as much money as they can from consumer is curbed in this at least.

Thanks to the EU in demanding all the companies in the world to swap to USB-C port. They aren't being forced, but they won't be able to sell their products in the largest market in the world if they don't comply.

The only good thing about this is I don’t have to ask People if they have Android or IPhone before asking for a charger or if someone wants to borrow a Charger from me but this has been long overdue even Macbook and IPad has Usb C Input, IPhone was last to get it and Android had it for years

Wait until Americans find out that the US version has the charging limiter if you're not using the Apple USB-C cord (or Apple approved cord). We don't know yet, if the European version will have the Universal USB-C port capability or not.

Lightning adapters…I wouldn’t recommend it. The plug will stick out too much.

Did I see a home button on the iPhone 15? If so, yay!

If Apple really cared about the environment they would have a tradein program for lightning to usbc cables. They should give u a dollar or two per lightning cable turned in.

I wonder if kids eye sights would be better if there was no IPhones? It appears that a lot more kids and adults have glasses. I'm just wondering if mankind can hang without their cell phones? It's a little bizarre these days when people are getting ran over, walking across the street looking at their phones.

Just WHO is going to be 'excited' over a 'new' $2, 000 iPhone because it has a new port?!!

I think I'm going back to the flip flop phone. Make things easier.

I sure hope the laborers that make these devices get a cost of living raise.

Slow news day, but this was actually helpful. Of all the recycling I do, I pitch old phone cords in the trash. But little of our recycling get recycled anyway so…

But It wont be running at USB 3.2 speeds and its only being added because EU forced Apples hand.

So, Capitalism is for suckers? I wouldn't have thought.

They keep changing the charging method so we keep having to buy new chargers.

So dumb.
