The Cows Arrive at Singing Horse Ranch - We have a few Problems!

I have done a trade with one of my neighbours: He gets grazing land for his cattle, and I get hay for my horses and sheep.

Even more importantly, the cows can eat a whole bunch of plants that the horses cannot - that are starting to take over the fields.

Mixed-species grazing, with horses, cows and sheep has shown to be ideal for creating and maintaining optimal health in both the land and the animals.

Fingers crossed this new arrangement works out...

Mig seems to know that cattle need different handling. They’re a reason why cattle dogs are so big and bulky. Or small and heel nippers!
Love how Kaliah takes the lead when necessary. I bet the horses will help encourage the cattle to stay together. They’re not like regular horses, which might be a great benefit on that land. Good thing the lads had experience with other livestock.
And agree that Ranch TV has gotten even more interesting. I was wondering when you were going to add different animals for grazing different plants. And you’re getting some amazing alfalfa out of it!
A nice mixed breed herd. It looks like maybe a Limousin bull. Though it could be a red angus, its longer lines suggest a European breed to me.
Also good seeing the sheep maturing and getting bigger. It’s a nice mix you’ve come up with!

To be fair wild horses also spread out and leave each other behind (foals in certain scenarios), I don't think american mustangs do this but in area's like dartmoor for example the wild horses there have no predators so they spread out without worry. I believe that the cows may be doing a similar thing.
