Both phones have fantastic cameras. Photo wise people will see what they want to see and favour whatever phone they favour as there is so little between them. Video wise I would give it to the Samsung in low light as it was less noisy to me but in daylight I think the Pixel has the better dynamic range but the colours looked a little washed out next to the Samsung's, but I appreciate that to some that would make the colours more natural I guess?. Zoom wise they have two of the best zoom systems ever to be fitted to a phone and they score points off each other here and I have to call this category a tie. Where there is no tie is in price. The Samsung is worth it's price but the Pixel 7 Pro is incredible value for money (The base Pixel 7 is arguably even more of a steal). I just wished the Pixel 7 Pro came with more than 256Gb in the UK where I live. That is the deal breaker for me. I will wait for the S23 Ultra to hopefully give me all I need in a phone. It won't come cheap though for sure unlike the amazing Pixels.

Hello, thank you for that video. But i have a question. At 3:30 aren´t the pics switched? The pic at the right side looks like a Pixel picture so much. Never seen HDR on my S22 Ultra in that way.

Thanks for going out on such a rainy night to do your comparison, Nick! Worth it though, to show the capabilities of these two devices. Not a lot to choose between them in fact - they both do a good job; IMHO the Pixel maybe just edges it, particularly in dynamic range, but it's marginal.

I wanted to take the opportunity to ask you something. I am considering, as you did with your iPhone, to sell my iPhone 13 Pro Max in order to but the Google pixel 7 pro. My question to you is what about the display itself ? I am asking you this because all the internet is talking about it. the display is supposed to drain the battery a lot more quicker when high brightness mode is enabled, in other words when the phone reaches its peak brightness of 1500 nits a suddenly drop of battery can be noticed .Did you make this experience as well ? Did your battery drained a lot more quicker when you were outside ? Do you think that the pixel has a display problem ? This is the only thing that keeps my away of ordering the pixel and I would be grateful to hear about your experience.

I think both are amazing but the Pixel is better in most cases. There are a few that the S22 ultra were better but I'd have to say the Pixel is the winner. Great video!

One thing nobody seems to address in these videos. The shutter lag. If that's present on the s22u like it was on the s21u, I really don't know how people manage taking pics with it. Especially moving subjects, like kids.

Can't go wrong with either of them. They both are good in different situations. The Pixel 7 is still pretty new and surely will improve with updates. Samsung has the transition between lenses while recording video nailed. I'm keeping my S22 Ultra for now.

The pixel is great but it's over processing the photos most of the time. The Samsung looks more natural overall, and the color seems closer to reality on the S22. Both cameras are great though.

A lot of these photos are at least to me eyes labeled incorrectly.
Photos that are clearly from the pixel address label Galaxy and vice versa.
So many pics can get people confused when making videos though

please test pixel 7 pro 10x compare with s22 ultra, pixel 10x also can do cropping and de-noising process same as 2x
