A year or two back I tried an earlier version of this mod on MG difficulty but found Shiloh to be almost unplayable. Meanwhile BG was easy to the point of putting me to sleep. It’s a shame because it’s an amazing mod. Do you recommend the latest version? Perfectly executed battle btw considering the circumstances

I'll never understand why some people like this kind of challenge: to always be outgunned, outnumbered, and out-experienced. Sure, it succeeds in making the game harder. It also destroys any semblance of historicity. I guess the game was pretty inaccurate from the start, considering you can easily wipe the enemy army in every battle on normal. _shrugs_

Perks giving +stamina type bonuses will likely return once we aren't tied down to the base game perk bonuses that are available.
- AI can't run out of steam if it doesn't have condition :P
- The other quandary with making the back half of the battle even harder, is if the player hasn't worn down the AI sufficiently by the time they reach the landing, then they have almost no way of holding if we give the AI reinforcements at that point.
- That's a good point on carbine cav, hitting aim time and volley duration for carbine cav would probably be a good idea.
- No increased damage received if you can't see something as far as I'm aware, but they aren't firing back so they won't be regaining morale like an engaged unit would be on its volleys. While such a feature would make sense, it also would be a huge advantage for the player since they can engineer those situations far more than the AI can.

Fantastic video as always. The number of times Panda has linked your battle videos on his Discord channel is a testament to their value to the J&P mod community. During the heat of this battle I slowed the speed to 1/2 (about your normal play speed I think) to better track the action.

Does a unit lose charging bonus if it occupies a fortification?

Really enjoyed the commentary on carbine Cavalry. I tend to over use skirmishes, maybe need to balance that with cav.
