Is Audible worth it? I’ll cover the pros and cons, so you can decide.
(click "show more" to see ad disclosure)

In my opinion, Audible is worth it if you read at least one book a month and that it’s worth more than an Audible credit costs you. This video will cover all the pros and cons, so that you’ll have a better understanding of how Audible works. I’ll go over all the benefits of being subscribed to Audible and I’ll even cover how their return policy works.

Audible isn’t for everyone, but hopefully you’ll understand more about their membership, so you can make your own choice.

And remember that if your a new Audible member, you can get two free books just for signing up, and they’re yours to keep even if you cancel.

So if you enjoy reading and you don’t mind audiobooks, then try giving Amazon’s Audible a try. Enjoy the video and please share it with anybody that’ll find it useful. 😎

I’m still watching because I’m on a monthly budget and this is a big deal for me.

I love audible. I work over 60 hours a week and I take advantage of listening to books. Really worth it.

I was too lazy to do the research myself and typed "is audible worth it" on YouTube. Yours was the first video. It was 10 mins well spent on YouTube. And sure, I'd use your link to get audible subscription as a way of saying thank you.

Thankyou so much for your video. I couldn’t understand why I was offered one credit when I rarely used Audible. I am going on a trip and only used my first books while on the road an hour once a week. You see that wasn’t really worth it, but, now will want to listen 4-5 hours a day for a couple weeks. You helped me understand how this works. The two books you’re recommending are excellent choices for young people trying to get started in life. I read them more than 20 years ago, still remember them fondly.

Yay, an up to date Audible explained! I just watched one from UK but the pounds vs dollars frustrated me. You answered all my questions, especially the return option, considering I'm hard of hearing certain accent's are difficult to understand at times. Usually I get my audiobook via the library (since my son is a librarian I don't even have to waste gas, he drops it off on his way home😂). I also use YT but searching for complete books is at times horrendous, I've learned to check comments before starting for any complaints/warnings (it's a bitch listening to a 12 hr book to find no frickin ending!). I recently read that Audible is having issues related to Closed Captions. I understand that why not just buy the book if you're going to read it? But I do find cc helpful for people with dyslexia, hard of hearing, learning a different language and of course lack of space to keep them. Thanks for your time and I did subscribe to your channel to see what else you have to offer.

Big con for me is that I listen to at least 8 audio books a month so if I were to use audible I would be broke. Libby is the best app ever and puts audible to shame.

I'm still watching! I've had a yearly subscription to Audible for a long time! I love them. I don't have much time to actually read, so audiobooks and a good set of earbuds keeps me able to listen no matter what I'm doing. With the yearly membership, when I'm out of credits I am able to buy 3 more for $29.90 and it seems to be unlimited. They often have a BOGO free special so you can get 2 books for 1 credit. I've also never had an issue returning a book! I also like the stats. This is a great video! I have Audible and have had for years and still watched the whole video! Great content. Keep up the great work!

I have amazon prime and when you have a deal on amazon you can buy ebook + audible narration cheaper on amazon than on audible

I read just started audible and I read a lot. What I found that works for me is that I listen to a book, return it when I am done, and get a new book.

i agree that the expiration of credit is stupid. like, i paid for it, and they expire??? like paying for giftcards that expire and gift cards never expire

Okay let me tell you about credits policy, now every credit has a life of 365 days from the date of issue.
Credits do expire when you cancel the membership but you can contact audible anytime to either reinstate them or refund for those unused credits.

kindle lets you read unlimited amount of books, netflix lets you watch unlimited amount of movies, heck even a library lets you borrow more books than audible.

Audible is such a rip off

I just checked the price of "phenomenology of spirit" audiobook on audible and itunes. It was 53 on audible and 34 in itunes, even with 30% still Itunes wins the battle and without monthly fee

I’m still watch even though I have had a Audible account for the last 3 or 4 years but I wanted to know if I get to keep the books that I purchased with my credits, I’m glad you clarified that for me. Great video 👍🏾

Still watching. Thanks to your video, I learned about the awesome refund process. I had a couple of audio books just sitting in my account that I didn't like and I was able to return them and get credits back to use, yay! Last year, I was actually a gold member for a couple months but then I cancelled because I felt I wasn't listening to enough books to justify the monthly cost. This past April I decided to re-join under their Silver plan, which is 1 credit every two months, so $14 charged every two months, and this seems to suit me better.

Still watching. Do returns get you back a credit toward another book?
I'm also into self-help and educational books. I'm glad you hit on that.
