I would like to leave a comment on this. Being in the building game since i was 16 we used the secret its called silicone lubricant used by plumbers, carpenters to slide plastic pipes together, and in carpentry to eliminate squeaks and sliding properties in bespoke works, its waterproof has no odour, you will never again require oil and a bottle will last a lifetime. If you have fibre rear drag washers sandwich them with this silicone for free running. Highly recomend. Available from plumbers merchants, i got mine from wickes. Just a few drops on the washers mind! For a smooth drag, bearings etc etc. 👍

What a GREAT tip.
I have a pet hate of zips going round corners, all ways stick and not run well. Just sprayed WD40 on all my fishing luggage, rod bag, holdall etc and what a transformation, all smooth running even round corners.
Nice one Dan

Great to see another episode from you after the other great episodes. At least the weather is better than before!. It would be good to see you preparing for a match, getting your gear ready, bait ready and the process you go through getting ready for a days angling or match. Then how you attack the match, how you know where to fish or what species you're going after. Short but good episode.

Use dry silicon spray on all zips (tubs, luggage etc ) they will last for ages & run silky smooth, I use wynns dry silicone lube from B&Q @£6 per large spray can … works well on pole elastic & catapult elastic as well …… your welcome 😬

Don't throw them cut off the whole zip, and use the remainder as an "open" bowl.

Wd40 silicon lubricant is better or you can buy zip lubricant from a scuba diving shop designed for diving suits but it’s quite expensive but very good at stopping zips getting corroded and stuck due to salt water

I don’t know why you use things with zips for mixing g baits, as you have discovered, they are not designed for that. You should use a plastic bowl or bucket for mixing. Keep the zip up cases for storing tackle items or dry pellets even. 👍

take it home leave it in the shed to dry out and attract the mice and rats :) also wouldn't cooking oil be better on zips rather than wd40 ? or could that attract mice as well ?

Unscented candle wax best or Vaseline for zips no odour, unlike WD40 creating tainted / smelling bait tubs etc. Also any bait residue left in tubs will encourage rodents in your shed bad move ?
