John Deere’s fully autonomous tractor leverages technologies such as cameras, AI, sensors, and ultra-fast GPU processors to detect and interpret 360-degree changes around them and learn more information to grow smarter with each pass. These capabilities all work to navigate a tractor throughout a field autonomously.

Using GPS technology and correction signals, AutoTrac guides vehicles to a repeatable accuracy through the field at scale. Farmers use AutoTrac to control and automate where the machine passes and turns, allowing them to plan the most synchronized, and efficient field routes for their operation.

John Deere's self-driving tractor continuously checks its position relative to a geofence, ensuring it is operating where it is supposed to, and it is accurate to less than 2.5 cm.
