TEXAS DRIVE: Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas – Ride with us around the campus area

We will take a short drive around Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, with an enrollment of about 18,000 students. We will drive by the Kappa Alpha fraternity house, San Jacinto Hall (dormitory), the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute, the University Hotel, the Hoyt Art Center, the Newton Gresham Library, the Garrett Teacher Education Center, Johnson Coliseum, the Intramural Fields, and the Geology Core Labs. It is a quiet weekend so there is very little traffic (or students) as we drive through the campus, by some apartments, and leave out from campus on Sycamore Street. Sam Houston State University is named after Sam Houston, a general and statesman who played a key role in the Texas Revolution.
