The reason the calendar goes from -16666 to 16666 is because computers use a thing called epoch time, which is on Jan 1st, 1969, and computers save times in seconds since that time. And because of 64-bit overflows, it has to end. There was a glitch on the old iPhones where they crashed because of time overflows.
