Re taking part in the Olympic marathon at an advanced age, look up Jack Foster from New Zealand who only took up running at the age of 32 yet represented his country in two Olympic Games, finishing 17th at age 44 at Montreal in 1976.

I believe Kipchoge will set the master’s world record MULTIPLE TIMES. Imagine he actually goes out around 1:02 through the half marathon. He then can negative split and go 2:03:30 or so. Man’s a legend

Being a GOAT is someone who changed the game, held it like no other one did, became an inspiration, a solid competition that made other strive more, and someone who is not perfect and shows vulnerability. Kipchoge is my distance running GOAT!!

Such an inspiration. I hope he can continue to push the boundaries for as long as he wants.

I would love to see him go for this record! Whatever he does, we will be cheering!

Kipchoge should go for the 50K world record! Would honestly be a piece of cake for him

Yes he is older, but he also had the burden of running his last race while dealing with security issues and threats to his family. At that age, I can imagine it's more important to keep the head clear, as it easily destroys one's performance. But how can anyone block that out of their mind while competing. Hopefully, these sick people just disappear and leave him alone, so he can just can focus on racing his last few races. Let him be.

Still no video on Sifan’s incredible Olympic performance.

it requires so much mental strength to be able to push 204s for Kipchoge. whether he goes for it or not his presence has been extraordinary. he doesn't need to put much pressure on himself to do that. he needs to find joy in his pursuit.

If Kipchoge goes into ultra running, he'll make it popular and mainstream.

I feel while Kipchoge is the GOAT of marathons Bekele is the GOAT of long distance running

I honestly think it was an Olympic year and he ran somewhat injured last season. I believe he heals and makes a beast come back. In his top form there are only two previous champions in their primes that can challenge him. Bekele and (RIP) Kiptum.

Honestly, I know this is out there but, I think Kipchoge would have a solid shot at the 50k Road record set by CJ Albertson. I know the marathon and a 50k are two different animals but with Kipchoge’s insane endurance, speed, mental resolve and ability to just push when nobody else is could lead to a new record if he attempted the distance. Like I said I know it’s a bold claim but it’s just my personal opinion.

Maybe he starts stepping up to some ultra distances, like a road 50k or road 50 miler. Older marathoners seem to do well continuing to step up their distances when they can.

It's always super special for these two greats to race together in the marathon. I believe one of them can further lower down the masters world record.

I still think even with the DNF, Kipchoge is STILL the goat. He proved to us that even the greats don’t have everything fall perfectly in place. This truly showed his class and admirable character, and really made me look up to him more and more. His humanity doesn’t limit who he is as my GOAT 🎊 🐐

Really enjoyed this video.
Did not realize Bekele ran a 2:04:19 marathon 10 MONTHS AGO! That's crazy.
Kipchoge's abs (3:01) and running form (1:19)
What was that headband (3:13)
My hope is that we'll see one more surge in the marathon career of Eliud. Maybe one, maybe two, but I think he still has some 2:01 type times in him (if not bumping up against Kiptum's time).
What I am most excited about in Kipchoge's running future though is that he has said when his marathon career is over, he wants to move to the ultra marathon distance. I believe I've seen or read him saying that on two occasions but the specific niche of ultra was not mentioned.
