I have a question or maybe more of a comment about Rev 21 and it being in the past.
In 1 Cor 15, this whole chapter is about our bodily resurrection. In verse 54, when we have put on incorruptible and immortality a prophesy is fulfilled.
1 Cor 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
This prophesy is from Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
We see this same language after the resurrection of the dead at the end of chapter 20 when death thrown into the lake of fire. At this point death the last enemy to be defeated is defeated for good. Death cannot be defeated if there is still sin in the world. Sin brought death into the world(Rom 5:12). Following this in Rev 21:4 we see also the same language from Isaiah 25:8.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

My question then I guess is how is Rev 21 past when the very words of verse 4 are from the same prophesy that is directly connected to our body reserrection? In order for death to be no more there can no longer be sin in the world.
