These guys were absolutely NUTS! Can you imagine going that fast, diving, having flak shot at you, explosions all around you, dropping the bomb and watching shrapnel miss you by inches or even damaging your own plane a bit, maybe even a lot, the fear, excitement and eventually sadness. Brutally beautiful.

Wow those were some beautiful camera angle around the 4:25 minute mark. The belly view of the Wildcat and the Dauntless' tailgunner position made for some great shots.

Part of me wishes that Il-2 1946 had FS2004's weather system. Imagine being able to dogfight between towering cumulus clouds!

IL2 1946 was a masterpiece of a combat flight sim. You could recreate any battle from WW2 with the Full Mission Builder in great detail. Our squad flew many of the great battles including Pearl Harbor and Midway, as well as The Coral Sea. A long wait for a true successor of this flight sim.

Cinematography is wonderful, but why is it so hard to get the accurate markings on the aircraft? if this was midway there would be no red circles in the roundels or striped on the tail
There's so much information out there on what quadrants thought what they look like it seems none of these can get it right but it was filmed well and recorded well and animated well except the markings.
I think a few of the wildcats for the Dash three version need -4s
