REPAIRING SCRATCHES ON A TABLE TOP

THIS NICE MAHOGANY CARD TABLE HAS SOME BAD SCRATCHES ON THE TOP LEAF . I WILL TRY TO FILL THEM IN AND RE-COAT THE FINISH

I have a similar situation with a surface that has some scratches, and even some cigarette burns.
I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to get it close to looking new again now.

I thought you couldn’t/shouldn’t use wax on lacquer. Please explain…I need to fix several pieces and they all have a lacquer finish. Thank you in advance.
