Road trip: Hoi An to Kontum along the Ho Chi Minh Trail

The Ho Chi Minh Trail was the supply line to Viet Cong and North Vietnamese troops fighting US-backed South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. These days it's a major highway - the Ho Chi Minh Highway. I just travelled from Hoi An to Kontum along the route, crossing mountain passes and waterfalls. We also visited the former US base at Dat To - scene of major battles during the war.

Mate. How long did it take you to pick up the language?
I rode a motorbike through there in May this year (still haven't edited my videos) and loved it, but I didn't even try to learn the language. I'd love to go back and spend longer there, learning the language and history while riding around filming the beautiful countryside.
