Broadway’s Morgan James returns to Dizzy’s October 23 at 5 PM and 7:30 PM to mark the 10th anniversary of the release of her first album, A Celebration of Nina Simone.

Ahead of the concert, James stopped by the Playbill Studio to share the song “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood,” one of Nina Simone’s signature songs. Watch the video above.

“I can't remember when I found Nina Simone exactly, but I do remember that I was so enamored of someone who could take anything from any genre, and it becomes a Nina Simone song,” shares James.
