Fun Video Nick. We still have no safe ice in the Ottawa Valley yet. My son and I planned an overnighter tonight but as soon as we punched our first whole we got outa there. 4 inches with lots of 2inch areas!!! Not enough for an overnighter in my opinion but everyone has a different threshold. Now I sit here sad watching my favorite ‘Tubers catch fish. Certainly is my first world problem of ice season '25!

The thing i find is if I'm not marking fish switching baits, jigs, spoons nothing is going to work ya gotta it's just a no fish day and this winter fishing is hard to just pick up and go where live I can have 4 lines so I put two outside and a deadstick and jig rod inside but always enjoy tring to learn something.

Going to target jumbos on clear lake Simcoe tomorrow, going to try the 15-20ft depth range. I find they can be anywhere in Jan. Nice crappie!
