High tariffs on Cambodia & Vietnam for instance make it harder for China to become the future pyramide like center of an independant far east, concentrated around PRC. The Pyramide workers around the Pyramide will stay longer poor and will need harder to strive for longer (with less income from the US they will buy less production machines and cheap consumer goods from China) - but the benevolent Mandarin-Pyramide @ Peking will become more likely in the end. (China is forced to take more care around China. US tariffs will create more US vaccum/absense there.)

And the world sees and realizes that the type of rule the countries have - democracy or not - is not important (1) - US empire seems to be 'just' about money/profit/reach/dominance.

1 - All countries on that list will become treated equaly fair (I presume) - Mr. Trump is not trying to be unfair - just the opposite is true I suppose.
