Making A Wire wrapped Double Ruby Pendant

Показать описание
I made this as a gift for my Mother, whose birthday is in July......so rubies! I call this a Double wire-wrapped ruby pendant, though it actually has 4 rubies in it, as the 2 stone beads are also rubies.

If you wish to make something similar, you will need:
2 cabochons, 1 larger than the other
2 4mm stone beads
4 3mm silver beads
21gauge square wire, 3 9inch pieces
21gauge half round wire, 2 6inch pieces and 1 12inch piece
18inch piece of chain
2 jump-rings
clasp

Tools you will need are:
flush cutters
chain nose pliers, 2 pair

Ohh....I'm so jealous! I absolutely love wire working. Unfortunately old age has hit my hands with arthritis really bad and I can no longer manage it. The pendant is lovely. Happy birthday to your mom.

This is very cool Rose! A great wire wrapping tutorial, really enjoyed this. I am sure your mom will love this piece, what a lovely gift!

(You likely have heard of this but there is a product called Plastic Dip which is a coating you can apply to your tools so the wire doesn’t get scratched. A number of folks who do wire wrapping have recommended it. Just thought I would pass it along given you do a lot of beautiful wire wrapping).
