Yes, Ship of Brides by Moyes is a good one.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is one of the best books I've ever read. There are so many beautiful passages that I still find myself thinking about 4 years later. I recommend listening to the audiobook while following along with the physical book because it can take some time to get used to the writing style. It's a very character-driven story and the prose can feel poetic at times. But the audiobook is fantastic.

I have so much fun looking at your bookshelves🥰. I’m halfway through Bleak House but am stuck— so I’m reading and also listening to on audiobooks. I can also recommend the Morland Dyasty. I read them all in the 90s and learned so much about British history. I’d love to re-read— but life is short and there are too many books! 😀

Love a bookshelf tour! What fun (and thanks for the mention of the podcast). Obviously I'm keen for you to read the BLWW series, but the Margery Sharps also leap out to me as must-reads. I love how many you say 'I must read this soon' to - good luck! :D

Looking forward to the Emma M Lion read-along. I have so many of your books on my own shelves - and many still to be read! I saw a couple Aunt Dimity on your shelf - and have read almost to the end of that series, really, enjoyed. I highly recommend Cashelmara ( and Penmarric ), two books I will read again. Thought I saw the 1st book in the Morland Dynasty by Cynthia Harrod Eagles -- excellent family saga that spans so many years - very well written. Again -- I've picked up a few more recommendations watching this ( Business as Usual, Ella Minnow Pea to name a few ). thank you for putting this together - I'm sure it was time consuming. 😊

Hi Jen! Thanks for sharing your books. I finished reading The Invisible life of Addie La Rue two days ago. It was easily one of the best books that I've ever read. I was skeptical about it at first but the author really brings the characters to life. It's a long book and yet I didn't want it to end. The end did not disappoint. It would be a great October read. Highly recommend.

Thanks for your 2nd part bookshelf tour. It was such a treat. It was exciting to see some Angela Thirkell books on your bookshelf. I have High Rising by Angela Thirkell, hopefully I get to it this winter. I keep a large wire basket next to my bed, which I put books I want to read for the month, unfortunately I do not get to all of them. It's more like a mood/season book basket. 😊

Everything is so organised and tidy. My room is the complete opposite, though I have cut down to four piles on the floor. Certainly plenty of variety in your collection.

I loved the Mitford Series! Re-read that a couple of times through. The Lost Girls of Paris was great and I like the English Garden as well. The Rose Code was my favourite Kate Quinn book. Loved it. Does having do many unread books make you feel any pressure to read them ? I find the more unread books I have the more anxious I feel. 🙃🤷‍♀️ 😅 would love to see an unhaul video from you😊 I loved Tin Man but I did dnf still Life. I may need to give it a second chance but some of the language out me off. Ooh Molokai is on my tbr! Miss Bensons Beatle is on my .re read list for 2025! Thanks for the tour!

Enjoyed as much as your first one😊 Enjoy seeing other people's bks. I REALLY hope you read some of Robert Frosts poems. Not sure, but I think BIRCHES is my favorite. As a child I swung on them EXACTLY as the poem says. When he describes leaping off at the end my heart THRILLS because he describes it perfectly and I can still FEEL it ! Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy Evening another fave. Maybe it's because Frost is a New Englander, I don't know; but he captures/ writes/ expresses all I know and remember SO TRUE. I really like Longfellow also; esp. The Children's Hour and Paul Reversed Ride ( he rode right by my street!). I read many of the Spymistress series by Bowen and enjoyed them. I REMEMBER Simple Abundance! Wore that book out! Bought it when a tragedy happened in my life. You've GOT to read CRANFORD. Loved The Gown. I have 2 carts. I cannot push them anymore even if my shldr. was good. They are LOADED and top shelves overflowing. They ARE my TBR carts, but... My plan is to get rid of ( hopefully sell) all my craft storage and buy bookcases. Can't craft anymore since Spinal Neck surgery 2 yrs. ago and then the 2nd shlr. replacement of same shldr. My last house had 4 very tall bookcases in livingrm, a shelf for my grandchildren, medium shelf in hall, bdrm. Books in decorative boxes, baskets, night tables. This will be a big project, but soooo looking forward to it. Great idea for library bks. so think I will look for a good basket. I highly recommend Nosy Neighbors by Freya Sampson. Just finished it few days ago. Saw lots of bks. I have😁 Envious of your shelves 🤗!

Thankyou Jen for your delightful book shelf tour. Especially enjoyable as our tastes are so similar. Seeing your Nick Bantocks made me want to re read mine!

Ferrante's Neapolitan series was one of my favorite series. I will say that My Brilliant Friend would have been a DNF for me if not for a buddy read. It took about 200 pages into the book before I really started enjoying it and then ended up loving the series. I know that's a lot to invest in a book but in the end it worked out for me. Thanks for sharing your bookshelf tour, really enjoyed it.

The Cat Who books would be good to read during a reading slump. Hard Times by Dickens is his shortest book but very depressing. You'd need something happier to read afterwards! I read the Invisible Life of Addie LaRue-really incredible story about a woman whom everyone forgets the minute they turn their back away from her. The story is very original, I liked it but most people do not like the ending, including me. Highly recommend the Hopkins Manuscript, the moon is going to crash into the earth-how will people deal with it? Interesting in that the moon has really been slowly moving away from the earth, which I did not know about it before. Have you read the Sargasso Sea? Its about the first Mrs. Rochester before she got married! (Jane Eyre) I have not read it yet but on my reading list one day. I did like The Warden. Roman Fever is a very short story-highly recommend.

I need to find a copy of “English County House Murders”! The Rose Code by Kate Quinn was a great read. I’m drawn to all the Bletchley Park type books. I used the Drawing with Children book when I taught early elementary, some fabulous art emerged. Kids loved it. I need more Heyer and Sayers!
