There’s hundreds of AirPods Pro being listed on Mercari right now in the 60-130 dollar range. You can tell from the imperfect shrink wrap and corners of the inner box in the back of the box. Beware of Stolen serial numbers too.

thanks my guy i was about to buy some off marketplace to replace my lost ones but this detailed walkthrough helped me realize i was getting scammed, especially your points about the fonts and edge proximity of the printing on labels. Just bit the bullet and got a new pair instead, luckily there's a little bit of a sale on amazon right now.
EDIT: also, just to reinforce others' messages here, checking the serial number like you talk about at 3:39 was not accurate -- the fakes were using a stolen serial number so they appeared legit.

Mine have a weird noise on the right AirPod. And when you enable noise cancellation and/or transparency mode, the right one sounds as if it was blown but when you turn everything off, they don’t sound like that which really concerns me

The problem is it’s sealed when it comes you don’t get a chance to do all your homework before you purchase the EarPod the only thing you would do is to extent checking by serial # and which is not reelable . It’s very frustrating it’s better to buy from Apple period and Apple have to come up with something to stop this fraud

Honestly If you’re going to buy pre-owned I would purchase from a second hand store or a pawn shop and buy the offered warranty in case you start finding any “issues” or integrity in knowing “are these real or are these fake?”

Just to let everyone know even if you do the serial number it can be fake. The people companies who make fake AirPods will buy one real pair then get that serial number and put it on every pair they make so when you check if there real it’s says they are but really the same serial number has been copied and pasted onto every pair of AirPods that company makes. Tip for yall the part where it holds the airpods in the box is actually cardboard because apple is environmental frndly so if its a plastic instead u know its fake

If the AirPods Pro are brand new, they should come with Apple's wrapping paper (the pull on the corner to remove wrapping plastic). That's something fake Airpods haven't been able to replicate.
