Hi Zach! Love Black House and it's prequel The Talisman. Both phenomenal. The creative mind of Peter Straub really is what elevates both of these books. Straub does not get the love he deserves. He was raised in Wisconsin hence the setting for Black House and most of his books are set or have ties to that region. Please check him out. Ghost Story is his most famous work, however I would challenge you to start with the Blue Rose trilogy (KOKO, Mystery, The Throat). You will not be disappointed and will take your reading to a new level. All the best.

Hearts In Atlantis is my favorite of the collections of his that I’ve read, if not my favorite…some really great stories in that one…only one that beats it would probably be Different Seasons…I need to read Skeleton Crew still though….anyway, I’m waiting on the audible from Libby for Black House…can’t wait…you should do the podcast on that one for sure!

Hi from Greece!! 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷I haven't read all Stephen King's books but I have read a lot of them and many famous of them. According to my opinion the best of ALL(not only collections) is Hearts in Atlantis.... I consider it very difficult for a future book to surpass that feeling of reading a story worth being storied.

As a massive fan of The Talisman I despised with my whole being Black House. Absolute garbage for me. It's all subjective, I guess. I just hated how they barely did anything with "the territories". Most of the Talisman/Dark Tower-ish fans were irritated by this book.

I haven't read Black House or Sleeping Beauties but Bag of Bones is a top 5 king book for me. I absolutely loved it

I loved Bag of Bones. It's definitely in my King top 20. Oddly enough I still haven't read Black House nor Sleeping Beauties. I'll save those 2 for after Spooky Season. 🧡👻🖤🎃
