The "noob" just consisted of building the rig

I wouldn't recomend using that for actual production. It's using a feedback loop and it's very glitchy and unpredictable and every time you move the timeline it will give a different result.

Use Bendy Bones it's more intended way for rigging such as tail.
No need to setup constraints

All of them are doing hard work, but the difference is that the video below changes.

I like how the "pro" way has prepared model, so it starts mid job, and still does the thing longer, requiring more interaces, more options and generally seems wors

Would have killed to add a smile to Mr. Incredible's face when he wagged the tail

Oh no, I have PTSD from doing 3D animation because it’s long and tedious work. Props to all animators out there.

This is a terrible solution that relies on creating dependency cycles to 'work properly' (basically infinite loops). This will absolutely break your shit in an animation, stuff will move on it's own or not update properly between frames. Also what you see in the viewport will be different than in the render. It looks cool but if you want something that doesn't rely on breaking the program to work i'd recommend some physics addon like Wiggle Bones or Bone Dynamics Pro.

It's amazing how many complex tools are in the program. The issue is discovering them, their uses, and remembering all 9000 tools in your pocket 😵‍💫

Rigging should not be noob. That’s pretty advanced

I actually hate damp tracks, i prefer to use the wiggle bones addon, i have a lot more control with it than with damp tracks

Pro artist would use special bone type in the rig.
