Fix: Chrome not save password (Gmail/Google stay signed in)

Chrome won't remember the password for the account currently being used for Chrome Sync (the Chrome User that saves your settings & bookmarks)

1) Change the password
2) Disconnect from Chrome Sync in Settings
3) Sign into Google or Gmail & "Update password for this site"
4) Re-connect to Chrome sync by signing in again

yeah it said old password was made in 2013. I changed the password to something else ( now 2018 ) and then esc out of chrome completely. opened it up and clicked on Youtube in my bookmarks spot and it all works now!

The solution starts at 1:11. Don't follow what sounds like directions at the beginning of the video.

Just got this issue in 2019. Google didn't fix this issue and no one has an answer on the Google Forums. Firefox just keeps looking better and better. Fuck Chrome.

It's June 4th 2017 and I got the pop ups just like in your video but that tiny pop up that shows Save Password did not pop up again. I tried twice.

My issue, which began with the latest IOS update, is that chrome asks to save my passwords (amazon for example), but then doesn't. In advanced settings, autofill is turned on, as is auto-signin, however chrome simply, well, doesn't. And I have to re-enter my passwords every time (it does remember google passwords).
