Just a note – anyone is, of course, welcome to watch my solo female travel safety videos. While I talk about things to do, culture, and history, the safety focus is primarily aimed at other solo female travellers researching their destinations.

Like many, I check for any specific first-hand advice before travelling anywhere alone, though, with sensible precautions, I've found most places to be solo female-friendly. I know it can be helpful for other women to see a 'day in the life' before they go, which is why I create these videos with my honest experiences.

My channel is a respectful and inclusive space. Discriminatory comments of any kind will be removed to ensure it remains a welcoming environment for all.

Wonderful video! You seem like you enjoy walking around, which is the best thing to do in Italy! And yes, it is very safe in Italy. Our last video was in Trento in Northern Italy! Finally, it is awesome you speak Italian as well.

6:43 - fun fact

The fountain was built in the 1644 by the successors of a Genoese noble.
Behind the fountain stood the palace of their ancestor who had been condemned in 1628 for conspiring with foreigners to overthrow the Republic of Genoa. The palace was destroyed and in its place a column was erected with an inscription that recalled the man's treason.
A few years later, the successors bought the land in front of the column and built the fountain to hide that embarrassing memory.

Unfortunately, (did I write it right?) a couple of weeks ago they opened a Starbucks in Venice...

Travellinf in Italy one should never carry a backpack with valueables. Pick pocking is real. I wore a front over the neck wallet and had no problems.

Actually, not many italian people go to Starbucks. At least, not as much as the company might expect. That's cause we love our coffee fast, single shot, espresso drank directly on the bench and, ESPECIALLY, costing no more that 1, 20€😂

Crime, and especially violent crime is higher in the UK and Germany. Why would you ask if Italy is safe?
