You can argue about consent until the end of time, but that isn't the issue here. No one, even those opposed to same-sex marriage, believes that two adults cannot enter into a social contract. The issue is: should the government be in the business of granting marriage licenses? Should the government give any financial incentive to get married via civil ceremony? The answers to both questions should be "no."

Not really. The People Elect Judges. Or, The People Elect People, who Elect Judges... If you don't agree with the elected officials. RUN AGAINST THEM AND HAVE THE PEOPLE ELECT YOU who share your same Ideology on how things should be done. That my friend IS Democracy...
