A better strategy would be to move the stop to break even once TP1 is hit then see if you can hit TP2 so even if the trade reverses you've locked in some profit and won't lose it.

In my opinion taking partials is killing overall profit, unless you are also taking partials on losing trades. It makes no sense to me to risk 100% of your SL, while not trying to gain 100% on your TP. When I stopped taking partials I saw my profit increase dramatically. Traders need to stop trying to make money on every trade, and start focusing on making good trades. Now I only bring my SL to BE at a certain point and let price hit my TP or my SL. Let your profits run!

This makes soo much sense, hear me out on this.set multiple take profits on one trade. Any time you see a clear sign to scale in, your position than scale in. Soo this way your maximizing your profits and minimizing your losses. And also your now adding to your winning trade. Great concept acquire.

To clarify, you can't do this if you're in the US. Given FIFO regulations, your broker will treat all positions in the same instrument as a whole, meaning they won't allow you to place different take profits.
