Mars Hydro FC4000 EVO PAR & ePAR Tests and Review

The Mars Hydro FC-4000 EVO is their first LED bar array fixture designed for 4’ x 2’ grow tents! There are not many lights designed for those popular tents. Plus, the FC 4000 Evo features the very efficient Samsung LM301h EVO diodes, and you can control it with the Mars Hydro App! I expect that it will be a popular grow light – but my tests reveal that you may not want to run it at full power!
I ran it through 4 PAR and ePAR tests. It produces impressive PAR and ePAR maps! I do a thorough analysis and show you how you can get the most out of this light!

Thanks for sharing! When I built my first cxb3590 3500°K CD @1400mA DIY panels I was so happy because of the efficiency and efficacy...and I remember that I wanted boards almost the size of the tent covered with diodes powered at 1/3 of their max...but then it wasn't possible and today it's too good because you will get a great light who will work for decades...my cxb3590 still work great after 10 years I just changed the thermal paste and switched to thermal pads and I use it to veg now!
I have old Samsung lm301b QB's but I will soon change to lm301h EVO diodes and I will ask Kingbrite led to make me custom QB's a bit smaller than 2x2 with 240w (or maybe 180w) that I will use at 120w as 30w/sq/ft is way enough with those diodes...or a bit smaller than 1x1 let's say minus 2 inch for maximum coverage and the possibility to daisy chain multiple QB's...there's no really good lights for 5x5 or 10x10 as most of the bars are 40 inches...
It would be so simple to make 10X10 inches QB's who connect to each other with the kind of spectrum you want...it's not easy to find a flowering only spectrum for people who have a veg space...I want only 3500°K lm301h EVO diodes...5 or 6 diodes per watt and it will last forever growing 2+gpw!

I appreciate everything you've done for my grow thanks to your calculations Data 💯 ❤ (Viparspectra 5x5 tent Viparspectra XS 1500 pro (x4) 2x Vivosun aero fans on Natural wind 247 ) these lights are cheap but when dasiy chained and properly measured in height to canopy, The results have been accurate and I plan on using your calculations again once I find a better light setup then what you have opened my mind to 💯

Hear add this to the review i have been using my Fc4000 for about 3 week's now in my gorilla 2by4 and I absolutely love it just like my other 4 lights from Mars hydro great quality for a reasonable price. Gotta need to get a new grow light try mars i did over 4 years ago and im still running nothing else but their llights ❤

Hello Mr. Mj Coco. I am so confused, i cant decide what to buy🤯 -Mars Hydro FC4000evo, 2x FC1500evo or 2x Viparspectra XS1500 Pro(2024Version with Sanan Chips). Which one has the better Spectrum, which one will produce the best quality flowers? Pls make this decision for me, i would really appreciate that.

I, as well as others would love to see you review one of the newer AC Infinity EVO lamps.

Im running two tents.. 2x4 with HLG350R and just started a 2x2.5 with AC Infinity EVO4 lamp. Its a burner in that little 2x2.5 Gorilla Shorty tent!
Lamp seems to have major balls, and I think you could do an awesome episode running that new bar lamp in both its intended 3x3 configuration, as well as PAR testing in a 2x2 environment. Youve mentioned the "big lamp in small tent" prior, lets see a review!
NO SUBSITUTE FOR CUBIC INCHES, the old saying goes.. Big lamp + small tent = BIG fun for all!

In all seriousness, It really blows my mind that theres no legitimate reviews for the ACI EVO lamps. Just paid sponsor videos with no REAL info. Its a shame...

In the end for my 2x2 Octo-Burner grow, it was between the Mars Hydro FC3000 and AC Infinity EVO4. It was close, but ACI won out mostly by virtue of instant compatibility with my ACI Controller 69 - Despite ACI being just a bit pricier than it's Mars Hydro counterpart.

Your reviews are very informative and on point and helped very much with my purchase decision.

My current grow can be seen on overgrow - James’ lil Octo-Burner. One 2x2 Tent. One Octopot. One BIG-ASS light to rule it all!
